Clematis veitchiana

Small straw-yellow flowers produced in large panicles, nodding and with recurved tips. Plant in a sunny position to enhance the sweet scent. A very close relative of C. rederiana, mainly differing in the shape of the foliage. C. veitchiana has ternate leaflets, C. rehderiana has simple leaflets. A native of China collected by Wilson, on behalf of Messrs. Veitch & Son in 1904.
