Clematis montana 'Alexander'

White flowers (quite large for a montana) with creamy white anthers and a very sweet scent. This variety can take a few years to start flowering well, planting in a sunny position will keep the waiting to a minimum and also ensure maximum scent. Collected from N. India by Colonel R.D. Alexander and introduced by Jim Fisk in 1961.
