Clematis 'Imperial'

Large flowers, the first flowers of the season are often semi-double. There is some argument about the colour with various authorities describing it as light purple, pale purplish pink and creamy pink. Some suggest that it has a darker bar. White filaments with anthers at first pink-purple, later yellowish.
