Clematis 'Fortunei'

Medium to large, double flowers, greenish at first but turning white tinged pink. The flowers smell of orange blossom and have pale yellow stamens. The cultivar was introduced by Robert Fortune from a Japanese garden and sent to John Standish in 1860. The form seems lost to cultivation.
