Clematis 'Royal Purple' (Jackman)

Purple-violet tepals with a purple tinge towards the midribs. Anthers pale brown. Similar to 'Jackmani' but bluer. The last listing given by Magnus Johnson for this cultivar is in 1935, Riekstina has the name on a list of 77 cultivars introduced into Latvia between 1870 and 1910. It now appears to be lost from cultivation - please contact us if you know otherwise.
